Andalusia is one of Europe’s most sought-after regions for wellness retreats, known for its warm climate, dramatic landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and exceptional accessibility. With more than 300 days of sunshine per year, Andalusia offers an inviting environment for groups seeking connection, restoration, and a deep sense of presence in nature. From the golden hills and olive groves of Granada to the vibrant coastline and modern infrastructure of Málaga, the region provides the perfect backdrop for yoga, breathwork, coaching, men’s work, somatic practices, meditation, therapy sessions, and a wide range of holistic and wellness programs. Why Andalusia Works for Retreat LeadersIdeal Weather
Andalusia’s mild winters, warm springs, long summers, and sunny autumns create comfortable conditions for both indoor and outdoor sessions. This consistency reduces weather-related uncertainty and allows facilitators to design programs with confidence.
Natural Landscapes
The region offers rolling countryside ideal for reflection and grounding, mountains and forests that support powerful somatic practices, quiet rural settings with little noise disturbance, and proximity to beaches and nature reserves for optional excursions.
Regional HighlightsMálaga
A dynamic coastal city known for its excellent international connections. Málaga Airport (AGP) is one of Spain’s busiest and most efficient airports, with direct flights from most major European cities, especially from the UK. The city offers modern infrastructure, smooth transport links, and year-round accessibility, making logistics simple for retreat leaders and participants.
Granada
A region of raw natural beauty, mountain ranges, and traditional Spanish charm. The countryside around Granada is quiet, spacious, and deeply supportive of inner work. Galápagos Islands (Ecuador)

A once-in-a-lifetime destination for transformational retreats.

The Galápagos Islands are one of the most extraordinary natural environments on Earth. Known for their untouched landscapes, unique wildlife, and deep sense of tranquillity, the islands create a powerful setting for retreats focused on transformation, connection, and personal growth. Every moment in the Galápagos feels meaningful, whether you are practising near volcanic coastlines, observing wildlife up close, or sharing group experiences surrounded by nature. The region is ideal for retreats centred on nervous-system regulation, somatic work, breathwork, meditation, men’s work, coaching, and high-end immersive programs. The environment itself naturally supports reflection, emotional openness, and deeper group bonding. Why the Galápagos Work for Retreat LeadersThe islands offer a naturally transformative atmosphere. The combination of silence, wildlife, open landscapes, and ocean surroundings creates a space where participants feel grounded, connected, and receptive. The Galápagos are also a premium destination with strong perceived value, making retreats easier to sell and allowing facilitators to price their programs sustainably.Another key advantage is local cultural insight. As someone originally from the Galápagos, I bring direct knowledge of the land, the people, and the logistical systems needed to run a retreat properly. This ensures an experience that is authentic, aligned with the environment, and smoothly coordinated. The Galápagos Retreat ModelRetreat Connection works with a licensed local travel agency to ensure that every retreat follows national regulations and operates seamlessly. This model is standard for the Galápagos and allows your group to enjoy a safe and well-organised experience. The retreat package typically includes accommodation, meals, excursions, naturalist guides, inter-island transport, and all necessary logistics. The teacher purchases the package at a fixed price per participant, then sets their own final retreat price. This structure makes pricing simple, transparent, and financially comfortable for facilitators. This destination is ideal for leaders who want to elevate their offering, create a premium retreat experience, or take their community on a journey that goes far beyond a traditional retreat setting. What Retreat Connection Provides in the GalápagosFull retreat package coordination using a legally compliant local travel agency.
Bilingual communication with all local providers and suppliers.
Support designing the itinerary and shaping the flow of the retreat.
Logistical management for accommodation, meals, transport, and excursions.
Pre-retreat planning and support for teachers and participants.
Optional on-site support during the retreat.
Local insight and cultural guidance to elevate the experience.

ABOUT us

DAVID VaSQUEZ – FOUNDER

I am a retreat leader, breathwork and Wim Hof Method facilitator, and retreat-operations specialist working between Spain and the Galápagos Islands. My work is rooted in a deep understanding of both the transformational processes that retreats create and the operational systems required to make those experiences run smoothly.Over the last four years, I have managed Cortijo El Cachete, a retreat centre in Granada, where I have coordinated the operations, communication, and logistics for more than 100 retreat groups from all over the world. This role has allowed me to work directly with a wide variety of facilitators, modalities, and retreat formats, giving me an intimate understanding of what retreats truly need from both a hosting perspective and a facilitation perspective. In addition to my work as a coordinator, I have personally led dozens of retreats, workshops, and events focused on breathwork, somatic practices, nervous-system regulation, cold exposure, and men’s work. I also founded Selfwilding, a project dedicated to building community through retreats, experiential workshops, and men’s circles. Through Selfwilding, I have guided individuals in practices that foster emotional resilience, personal leadership, and authentic connection. This ongoing work has strengthened my ability to hold space for groups and support participants through meaningful personal processes. This dual role as both facilitator and operator gives me a unique advantage: I understand how to hold space, how to read a group, and how to create an environment where participants feel safe and supported, while also managing the logistical demands that make these experiences possible.Originally from the Galápagos Islands, I grew up surrounded by nature, simplicity, and a deep respect for the environment. I later lived for seven years in Brighton in the United Kingdom, which helped me develop full fluency in English and understand the cultural nuances that often arise when international facilitators work with Spanish venues. This background allows me to bridge communication smoothly, reducing misunderstandings and ensuring clarity throughout the retreat lifecycle.Throughout my career, I have built a large network of contacts within the wellness and personal development community, including yoga teachers, facilitators, therapists, breathworkers, retreat chefs, photographers, and venue owners across Spain and the Galápagos. I also collaborate closely with local services and suppliers such as transport providers, tour operators, guides, and catering specialists. This network allows me to support retreat leaders with not only operational coordination but also all complementary services that enhance the overall retreat experience.Today, my work brings together practical operational expertise, facilitator-level insight into group dynamics, bilingual communication, multicultural perspective, and a deep commitment to community-building. My mission is to help teachers deliver powerful and transformational retreats by ensuring that the structure behind their work is reliable, organised, and fully supported.
